We greatly value all of our patients and we are making every effort to protect your health and safety during this unprecedented public health crisis. We understand that these necessary steps may be inconvenient but we are making every effort to make this temporary adjustment as smooth and seamless as possible. As always, please reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
Please be assured that we are continuing to monitor the CDC and public health guidelines and recommendations as we implement these preventive measures and work to safely provide uninterrupted services to our patients.
Virtual appointments using our telemedicine platform are encouraged during the COVID-19 pandemic. Telemedicine is a virtual office visit option that is already in use at the Advanced Acne Institute and has been utilized effectively by patients who reside in distant locations or have other needs that make it difficult for them to travel to our office.
For patients electing a telemedicine appointment, directions will be provided in advance of the scheduled virtual visit on how to download and access our telemedicine application. If needed, our staff is available to assist with any technical questions. Our patients have enjoyed the convenience of our virtual visit option and we are confident that you will also find it very useful.
In order to ensure a safe office environment, the Advanced Acne Institute follows strict antiseptic policies and procedures. All surfaces are disinfected prior-to and after each patient visit. Face masks covering the nose and mouth are required of all patients and anyone accompanying the patient prior to entering our office and must be worn at all times during the visit. Appointments are scheduled with enough separation to limit the number of patients in the office at any given time. Upon arrival, all patients are asked to remain in their vehicles until notified that we are ready to receive them.
Any patient who is experiencing fever, cough, shortness of breath or any other flu-like symptom should not attend any scheduled in-office consultations, treatments or procedures and should only utilize our telemedicine option for virtual visits.
Any patient who has had contact with or who has had any degree of exposure to a person who has tested positive for or is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should not attend any scheduled in- office consultations, treatments or procedures and should only utilize our telemedicine option for virtual office visits until completing an appropriate quarantine period.
We thank you for your cooperation with these necessary adjustments during the COVID-19 pandemic.
